Description
Tablet of white to creamy colour with a specific odour.
Composition and pharmacological properties
1.0 tablet (490 mg) contains active ingredient: megestrol acetate – 5,0 mg.
Excipients: lactose, calcium stearate, sugar powder, starch, flavoring.
Drug active ingredient is a synthetic progestogen - megestrol acetate. Hormone's ability to inhibit sexual desire and ovulation is used to suspend estrus, shift the time of its origin, correction sexual behavior, as well to avoid an unwanted fertilization. Complete recovery of reproductive function comes of 2-3 months after drug administration cancelation.
Indications
Intended to retard or inhibit estrus in female dogs and cats (negative impact on further pregnancies is absent). The drug inhibits sexual activity and correct related behavioral problems in male dogs and cats.

Dosage
Per oral with feed in small amounts or forcibly onto tongue root in following doses:
Male cats:
For sexual arousal sedation – 1 tablet daily within 3-5 days.
Female cats:
To retard estrus - 1 tablet during 10-14 days. The estrus starts in 14 days after cancelation of drug administration.
To inhibit estrus: 1 tablet daily during 3-5 days (from the moment of sexual arousal signs).
As a contraceptive – 3 tablets within a day after mating.
Female dogs:
To retard estrus - 1 tablet per 10 kg of animal body weight once in 14 days. The estrus starts in 21 days after cancelation of drug administration.
To inhibit estrus: 1 tablet per 10 kg of animal body weight daily within 7 days (from the moment of sexual arousal signs).
As a contraceptive – 2 tablets per 5 kg of animal body weight daily within 2 days after mating.
Male dogs:
For sexual arousal sedation – 1 tablet per 10 kg of animal body weight daily within 5 days.
Contraindications
Do not administrate to animals with diseases of the reproductive system (pyometra, metritis, endometritis), breast tumors, diabetes mellitus, immature animals.
Do not administrate during pregnancy and lactation.
Administration to young females before the first estrus or in shape of anestrus therapy within sexual cycle disorders is not recommended.
